The season this review relates to is: 2005 Would you recommend this camp to others? Yes My son had a wonderful time attending this camp. Because he was a new camper and rather shy, we were very concerned about his ability to make friends and get involved. Thankfully, the counselers and instructors new exactly how to handle such a child and he ending up having the time of his life! I would hardily recomment this camp to everyone. It is not the least expensive program we found, but we feel it was the best!

The season this review relates to is: 2004 Would you recommend this camp to others? Yes As a child, I attended this camp for three years and always hoped to send my kids there someday. I'd say the camp is at least three times larger now, but the same personal feel exists. The new owners have done wonderful work on the facility and have managed to attract what we feel are the best counselors and staff. They're well organized and eager to answer questions from both campers and parents. My daughter had a brief run in with a fellow camper who might have had thoughts about becoming the "cabin bully." That was immediately squelched by the counselors and there were no further problems for the balance of the summer. I give them 5 stars!

The season this review relates to is: 2005 Would you recommend this camp to others? Note sure. My son had a bad time attending this camp. Because he was a new camper and rather shy, we were very concerned about his ability to make friends and get involved. Unfortunately, the counselers and instructors didn't know how to handle such a child and he ending up having a poor experience! I would not recomment this camp to parents with shy kids.

Camp Staff Response To Above Comments Prior to camp, our staff participates in an all-day session in sensitivity training, with particular emphasis on children who are shy. We require that every employee attends this meeting....even the kitchen chefs! We do strive to make every camper comfortable with their environment and hope to deliver that special summer to each and every camper.

The season this review relates to is: Prior to 2000 Would you recommend this camp to others? Yes My son really wanted to focus on English Horseback at camp and was concerned about being able to spend enough time with the horses. As soon as he arrive at camp, a staff member asked him if he liked other activities in addition to riding. He said he likes to write......so he instantly became on of the camp newspaper editors! The experience will stay with us for a long time. Of course, he'll be back next year.
